Client Manager – UK Automotive Sector (Capgemini)
Capgemini’s Manufacturing, Automotive & Life Sciences (MALS) market unit is seeking a motivated and ambitious Client Manager focusing on the UK Automotive sector. This role will be based in one of the following locations:
Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Woking, London.
As a Client Manager you will build strong, trust‑based relationships with automotive clients, drive growth in key accounts and help shape Capgemini’s future in the sector.
Responsibilities- Create new opportunities by building strong, trust‑based relationships with clients and identifying ways to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table.
- Listen deeply, understand client needs, and co‑create solutions that deliver real value.
- Champion clients’ success by developing a deep understanding of their goals and challenges and helping them navigate toward meaningful outcomes.
- Collaborate across Capgemini’s service lines with senior leaders to shape
104 the account strategy and decision‑making. - Lead with confidence – from shaping proposals to collaborating with subject matter experts, architects and delivery teams to bring ideas to life.
- Facilitate engaging workshops that spark demand, uncover client needs, and match them with the right solutions.
- Drive delivery excellence by participating in reviews and ensuring we consistently exceed expectations.
- Hold full P&L responsibility for the assigned strategic account, ensuring financial performance, growth and profitability across the portfolio.
- Team spirit and flexibility to support other deals outside your area when needed.
- Experience managing client relationships.
- Knowledge of relevant technology solutions, operating models and business‑critical outcomes.
- Commercial or consulting experience with commercial models, estimation techniques, pricing trends and SOW documents.
- Ability to innovatively and constructively challenge the status quo to drive business forward.
- High degree of independence while also working effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of the Life Sciences industry.
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
- No nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside the UK within the last 3 years further checks may be required.
- Security clearance assessment will consider your country of residence and nationality.
Hybrid working – your day‑to‑day location will vary between Capgemini offices, client sites and home. You will not be able to work from home 100 % of the time.
