Purpose of RoleThis role will oversee the full procurement lifecycle from market engagement and tendering through to contract award, mobilisation and ongoing contract management on both private and public contracts. This opportunity is a very varied and busy procurement position with regular travel to meet stakeholders to ensure continuous improvements and performance.
Job DescriptionYou will lead the development and delivery of robust commercial and procurement strategies that ensure value for money, regulatory compliance, and effective supplier performance.
Responsibilities- Prepare subcontracts
- Have a full understanding of contracts and project delivery to ensure the very best commercial outcomes for the projects on which you will support.
- Ensure a resilient and stable supply chain with capability and capacity to deliver current and future work.
- Review the capability of new suppliers as and when required.
- Ensure a robust approach to supply chain selection and that tender lists for each project are reviewed and agreed by the BU operational and commercial teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with preferred suppliers and deliver regular formal meetings.
- Ensure the collection, analysis, and communication of performance data; work with the BU and supply chain to manage poor performance.
- Support the BU in resolving issues and disputes with the supply chain.
- Provide supply chain management advice for the BU.
- Promote innovative and sustainable options.
- Highly competent in the application of IT skills to financial problems and the production of project documentation.
- Maintain a wide knowledge of business systems to manage and present business information
- Make best use of knowledge management systems
- Understand and the CAFM platform to demonstrate.
- Share best practice and knowledge of using the IT platforms with the wider Commercial/Project team, especially SAP.
- Act upon the Management Information available from our reports to drive commercial improvement through the project.
- Procurement experience is essential
