Project Advisor – Mace

The Project Advisor will be responsible for the delivery ставок of a project through the construction phase, already on site. This role sits in our consultancy business, specifically the justice sector, and will support the delivery of new prisoner places in Lancaster. You will be the dedicated site Project Advisor, reporting into a Senior Project Manager who oversees this project along with another site, and you will also be supported by an Assistant Project Manager.
As a client‑facing role based partly on site, you will manage wider consultant teams and project stakeholders, working with the project team to deliver the project successfully. Your responsibilities include overseeing the project from inception through construction, ensuring timely delivery, managing budgets, timelines, risks, and quality requirements, and supporting the client’s strategy. You will also be expected to attend site regularly (estimated minimum of four visits per month) and work from home or a Mace regional office for the remainder of the days.
EL1 vetting clearances will be required entfthis role.
- Define project management and resource needs
- Deliver objectives per project execution plan
- Coordinate design queries and escalations
- Maintain and update project plans
- Manage budgets, timelines, and risks
- Ensure quality systems and stakeholder collaboration
- Drive net zero carbon initiatives
- Proven project management experience
- Professional accreditation (MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS) or equivalent
- Degree or relevant construction discipline qualification
- Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder collaboration skills
This role entails hybrid working with attendance on site – exact requirements can be flexible but a minimum of four visits per month is expected. The remaining days may be spent working from home or a Mace regional office as required.
