Alumnae District Director (ADD)
Supervisor
Title:
Director of Alumnae Chapter Management
Position Status: Volunteer, two-year appointment
Position Summary: Works under the direction of the director of alumnae chapter management (DACM) in all matters concerning the conduct and operation of the alumnae chapters in a designated district; provides strategic analysis on alumnae chapter health and needed support; supervises, guides, and assists alumnae chapter officers to set and attain goals while working with fellow directors and district coordinators.
Qualifications- Initiated member of Sigma Kappa Sorority
- Experience working with alumnae chapters and/or life skills that relate to the position summary
- Prior experience as an alumnae chapter officer and/or familiarity with alumnae chapter management Latina dramatur original operations
- Strong written and oral communication skills, customer service skills, organizational and delegation skills, time and project management, attention to detail and interpersonal/relationship building skills
- Works with alumnae team and NHQ staff to bridge communication between alumnae chapters and headquarters staff
- Oversees strategic progress of alumnae chapters in their district by monitoring chapter operations, chapter viability, officer leadership and goals, and submission of chapter award applications
- Works closely with the alumnae finance coordinator to monitor the financial status of the alumnae chapter(s)
- Advises alumnae chapter presidents and other alumnae chapter officers in the district they are managing, and provides regular support through email and phone communication, monthly touchpoints, etc.
- Works with the director of alumnae chapter management to create and monitor plans of action for critical chapters; helps identify chapters in need of specialized support
- Supports the alumnae engagement strategy as provided by alumnae team volunteers and staff
- Participates in conference calls with national officers, team members and/or staff as necessary
- Supports the alumnae initiate program by participating in calls with potential alumnae initiates as needed
- Demonstrates consistently through words, actions and interactions, alignment with the Sorority’s values, strategic direction and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and access (DEIA), focusing on the success of the organization
- Exhibits a positive, problem-solving mindset and a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Monitors progress of alumnae chapters in assigned district(s) and addresses chapter issues collaboratively with other district directors.
- Maintains and develops reports and procedures as appropriate to the position
- Maintains high professional and personal standards
- Promotes the ongoing development of a service rapport with alumnae and collegiate chapters, local and national volunteers, headquarters staff and all members of the Sorority
- Maintains positive public relations within the Sorority, among all Sorority entities, other NPC, NPHC, MGC and NIC groups, university officials, vendors and others
- Follows national policies and procedures and abides by the local house/suite rules in the case of visiting collegiate chapter facilities
- Promotes a sense of national pride in Sigma Kappa and a strong sisterhood in all related interactions
- Attends national convention (even years) and participates in other training(s) offered to national volunteers. Failure to complete required onboarding and training could result in the withholding of a convention allowance or potential removal from position
- Required attendance at the Summit for Volunteers (annually)
- Per the National Policy Handbook (NPH), all national officers shall pay alumnae dues either to a local alumnae chapter or directly to national headquarters
- All national officers are encouraged to make an annual financial contribution and/or planned gift to the Sigma Kappa Foundation, per the National Policy Handbook
- Performs other duties as may be prescribed by哪i
