The roleThis is a new role within the Northamptonshire Cluster at United Learning. This role is to lead on health and safety, support the effective management of estates and building compliance across the cluster. Flexibility is essential within this role with the opportunity to work from home where appropriate as well as work on site at the four schools within the cluster.
The Northamptonshire cluster schools are Kettering Buccleuch Academy, Northampton Academy, Campion School and Montsaye Academy.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an established or aspiring H&S professional who would like an exciting, challenging and highly rewarding role within our thriving Northamptonshire Schools cluster.
About YouYou will have experience with Health and Safety management and will be responsible for carrying out regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks. You will have a desire to attain the highest possible standards in the work that you do. You have excellent organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative and be confident and comfortable in acting as a key point of contact for external auditors, inspectors and enforcement officers (HSE, Fire Service, insurance etc.).
You will be able to prioritise your workload effectively and have excellent communication and IT skills and be able to exercise your role with discretion and confidentiality.
A NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and IOSH Managing Safely is required plus evidence on ongoing CPD in H&S or estates management.
