Position: Head of HV and H&S
Role overview:

* To ensure the safe and efficient provision of HV and LV operations across all managed sites

* My client is a vertically integrated Operations and Maintenance specialist for utility scale ground mounted solar farms in the UK and Europe. Key Responsibilities

* Provide technical expertise to resolve engineering and installation challenges

* Managing day to day HV operations including acting as Authorising Engineer.

* To develop the capacity of HV operations in the company

* To supervise, guide, mentor and promote training of field team of SAPs, APs and training of Competent Persons

* Co-ordinate with internal (Project Managers, Regional Managers) and external stakeholders (Clients, suppliers, sub-contractors, Foresight etc.)

* Authorising of all HV reporting by team and ensuring timely delivery to clients

* Project Management of High Voltage Works across the portfolio

* To deliver specialist HV services including commissioning and testing

* Develop internal safe systems of work including oversight of electrical safety rules

* Participate in Company management meetings and health & safety meetings.

* Supporting and advising the Operations Director and Managing Director in Health & Safety matters such as

* H&S Regulatory compliance

* Site Specific Risk Analysis – Implementation of RA’s / procedures & Rescue Plans (Fire & Rescue)

* Site Visit Inspections / Audits

* Subcontractor Vetting / RAMs approval

* Construction Phase Plan implementation for Punch List / Project works

* CDM Regulation Compliance

* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy

* Work according to company Integrated Management System to help achieve Quality, H&S and Environmental objectives.

Skills required

* Fully conversant of the UK electrical power distribution industry and be familiar with its standards, practices and procedures

* AP15 High Voltage Senior Authorised Person (132kV)

* Relevant H&S qualifications

* Extensive experience in the UK Solar industry

* Full and clean UK Driving License

* Battery storage experience preferred
