As we continue to evolve in response to changing needs and regulatory requirements, we are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Head of Later Living & Support Services to lead our specialist housing and support offer across Herefordshire and Shropshire.
This is a pivotal leadership position within our Customer Directorate, responsible for shaping and delivering high-quality, person-centred housing and support services for diverse groups, including older people, younger people, and those affected by domestic abuse. You will embed a culture of safeguarding, compliance, and continuous improvement while driving innovation and strong partnership working to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Later Living and commissioned support services.
- Ensure delivery of excellent housing management and support services across 1,500+ Later Living units and multiple contracts.
- Lead and develop a team of around 70 colleagues, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with commissioners, local authorities, and health and care providers.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Drive service innovation and continuous improvement to meet changing needs
This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from our offices, with Head office at Craven Arms and travel to other offices as required.
