Inside Sales Team Lead – Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT)

Our Inside Sales Team Lead manages a team of Inside Sales Representatives covering North America. This role ensures profitable growth through planning, execution and management of a supportive team. The position reports to the Inside Sales Manager of the AMR Sales Team and can be remote.
In This Role- Lead, coach and develop an Inside Sales team to grow bookings and revenue, build a healthy pipeline and improve conversion across assigned territories.
- Supervise and direct staff, including employee hiring, training, evaluations and discipline, and ensure execution of sales duties.
- Set goals and objectives for team members in accordance with regional and global sales strategy: organize the customer base, deploy sales strategy in the territories, recommend and implement action plans, share information internally and identify new business opportunities.
- Analyze effectiveness of key initiatives, strategies, objectives and goals using Danaher Business System tools such as Visual Management, Daily Management and Action Plans.
- Provide sales forecasting, establish sales goals and manage pipelines for the assigned territories using Funnel Management.
- Work collaboratively with the Field Application Scientific teams, Product Management teams, Commercial Excellence teams and Sales Leadership teams to meet sales targets.
- Demonstrate and uphold behavior consistent with the IDT Core Values and deliver the IDT experience to customers and business associates.
- Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience in a Life Science related discipline or related field required OR Business degree with relevant life science industry experience OR Master’s degree in a life science field.
- 3+ years of Life Science sales experience preferred (remote or in-person).
- Understanding of tactical and strategic sales skills and the progression of customers through the buying cycle.
- Occasional travel required (10-20%).
- Experience and proficiency with popular CRM’s (Salesforce) preferred.
- Molecular Biology or similar lab experience.
- Sales team management experience in custom product and/or one of these domains of application: NGS, CRISPR, Synthetic Biology or qPCR/dPCR.
The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 and the role is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. IDT offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) for eligible employees.
