We are seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to act as the point of contact for Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality throughout the product life cycle. In this individual contributor role, you will be the primary point of contact for the customer on all planning, production, quality and schedule related activities. You will be the primary collaborator across production planning, production, quality and logistics to meet program milestones, successfully transition product to the factory, support on-time delivery, ensure delivery of high-quality products and support rate-readiness activities.
Ideally, this will be a hybrid role (combination of onsite and remote work) based in Windsor Locks, CT. Will consider preferred candidates for a remote role with additional travel requirements.
Primary ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) to drive performance and achieve program industrialization objectives to meet customer requirements.
Drive rapid closure of issues impacting delivery to meet customer requirements, including quality, sub-tier and operational excellence issues.
Ensure all demand is properly loaded throughout the value stream.
Track and reconcile delivery discrepancies with customer to achieve on-time delivery metrics.
Drive delivery assurance communications with customer. Coordinate customer requested schedule changes with the product lines.
Maintain achievable master production schedule based on demand, lead time, capacity constraints, inventory strategies and materials availability.
Complete program data analytics, risk mitigation, forecasting, demand and rate planning
Maintain executive communications of risk and action plan for resolution of issues impacting customer requirements.
Typically requires a University degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
Operations, Engineering, or Supply Chain experience within the aerospace or similar manufacturing environment.
Willing and able to travel up to 20% as required for role.
Experience managing cross-functional teams, programs and projects.
Experience developing, implementing and maintaining strategies to achieve cost, technical and delivery performance targets.
Development program and new product introduction experience
SI&OP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) process, Supply Management, Operations and/or Quality experience.
