This hybrid role is remote from a European country (France, Spain, or Italy) with travel for business purposes.
CoreJob Duties
The Regional Manager leads the sales teams and directs strategic and operational activities. Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and implement direct sales strategies aligned with business goals to enable fast growth through efficient execution. Works with cross-functional teams to ensure the direct sales function supports overall company goals.
Key Accountabilities- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives.
- Define and execute territory sales plans.
- Manage the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, sales calls, and closing deals.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development to create sales materials, presentations and proposals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Analyze customer base and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Make data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
- Work with local teams to increase the number of customers across the region.
- Oversee and direct performance of the sales team.
- Manage and develop a team of sales personnel, including sales representatives and account managers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing direct sales activities.
- Provide strategic direction to the sales team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company goals.
- Prepare and present sales reports to senior leadership, including performance metrics, trends, and key insights.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 10 years in managing direct sales operations.
- Experience in leading an interculturally diverse team.
- Strong knowledge of direct sales principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Lead by example in developing, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.
- Well-developed listening skills and ability to engage at various levels.
- Delegate effectively, set clear expectations and deadlines, provide needed resources for project completion and monitor progress.
