Social Work Team Manager within Child Protection and Court Team required in Sandwell UK
. Join our dynamic team model on an ongoing basis, with an attractive pay rate of £41.42 per hour
. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to spend two to three days in the office each week in Oldbury while engaging in crucial work that impacts the lives of children and young people. With a full-time schedule of Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5:30pm and Fridays until 5pm

- Deliver the highest level of professional service within the Child Protection and Court Team, providing expert advice, supervision, and support.
- Manage and support staff handling cases for children under Child Protection Plans or within Court Proceedings.
- Provide effective management support, supervision, and guidance to social work staff.
- Ensure workload is appropriately distributed within the team to meet the needs of children and families in Sandwell.
- Oversee the recruitment and appointment process for social workers and other staff in the service area.
- Quality assure assessments, statements, and plans formulated for children, ensuring readiness for court as needed.
- Monitor and report on team performance, ensuring compliance with Trust standards.
- Utilize substantial experience in child protection and court environments to lead your team effectively.
- Exhibit knowledge of current policies, guidance on children’s social care, and safeguarding practices.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational and leadership skills with a knack for improving practice and services.
We are looking for innovative leaders with a proven track record in Children’s Services, who have substantial experience in supervising or managing teams and a robust understanding of the court processes.
