DepartmentOverview
The Global Meetings Manager oversees all aspects of McDonald’s Meetings Management Program. This role is responsible for managing enterprise-wide meeting processes, tracking meeting spend and volume, establishing standards, and leading suppliers and technologies to deliver cost savings, risk mitigation, and quantitative controls.
DutiesKey responsibilities include:
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the home office, global markets, and key suppliers in the meetings space.
- Expanding the program to additional markets through the implementation of a global Strategic Meetings Management Program.
- Staying current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and integrating them into McDonald’s environment where applicable.
- Developing strategies to continuously optimize program performance, focusing on improvements in controls, cost, efficiency, service, and overall experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8-10+ years of experience in a relevant field (communications, meetings and events, hospitality, procurement).
- Experience leading strategic meetings management programs, global or cross-market experience ideal.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Proven track record in supplier management.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure.
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Collaborative leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and provider groups.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Ability to lead, influence, and drive results.
- Experience in process improvement and protocol development.
- Proficiency in reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to identify and manage risks and issues.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging interpersonal skills to influence behavior and navigate complex team environments.
- Active engagement across departments and within the organization.
- Customer-obsessed mindset.
