Summary
Blood Cancer United’s newest cycle fundraising event, Velo Palmetto, is seeking a Campaign Development Manager to lead peer-to-peer fundraising revenue goals. The role sets the strategic vision, drives revenue growth, and ensures the manager is equipped, supported, and developed to exceed organizational goals.
Responsibilities- Leverage peer‑to‑peer fundraising to achieve high‑impact revenue and recruiting goals.
- Lead the Velo Palmetto Campaign Development Manager with a focus on strategy, culture, and performance.
- Collaborate with Region EDs, Region CDDs, Marketing, Shared Services, and Business Operations to execute revenue strategies.
- Ship event sponsor ships and cultivate a high‑level participant experience from recruitment through event day.
- Partner with Education Services and Health Research to communicate the mission, programs, resources and priorities.
- Organize mission‑centered, donor‑cultivation events and prospect high‑impact donors for national stewardship activities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a Campaign Manager, providing coaching, accountability structures, and performance oversight.
- Model best‑in‑class fundraising, sales, and relationship‑building behaviors; demonstrate hands‑on leadership.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, high‑performance culture across the team and throughout Blood Cancer United.
- Facilitate cross‑team partnership with regional staff, shared services, Corporate Development, Advancement and other partners to maximize results.
- Lead recruitment and sales strategy to build a strong, diverse, well‑qualified pipeline.
- Support manager in prospecting, pitching, and closing high‑value partnerships; personally handle top‑tier or strategic opportunities.
- Ensure effective use of CRM systems and data insights to track pipeline activity and improve conversion.
- Recruit and activate high‑level committee leaders; manage committees and impact.
- Drive strong revenue results by delivering a high‑impact participant experience.
- Oversee implementation and optimization of fundraising best practices, tools, and resources.
- Oversee stewardship plans and deliver consistent, high‑quality partnerships to participants at all fundraising tiers.
- Partner with the Senior Director to create and implement annual and multi‑year strategic fundraising plans.
- Establish annual goals and performance metrics; monitor progress and execute timely course corrections.
- Analyze fundraising data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3‑5+ years in peer‑to‑peer fundraising, business development, sales, or related fields, with 1‑2 years supervisory or team leadership.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue and recruitment goals.
- Strong understanding of sales cycles, pipeline management, and consultative stewardship strategies.
- Experience leveraging CRM systems and data analytics for decision‑making.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to inspire, influence, and motivate teams.
- Adaptability in the face of multiple demands and challenges.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, especially during peak event season.
- May need to move event materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Travel to designated athletic events and markets for participant cultivation.
- Remote work from home.

Federal paid holidays are observed throughout the year, and a wellness program and employee assistance program are available. Base compensation for this position ranges from $92,000 to $95,000, with an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
