We’re seeking a Regional Operations Director to lead and optimize operations across 11 veterinary clinic locations in Northern California. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, you’ll oversee significant P&L responsibility while driving operational excellence and business growth across our multi‑site network. This remote position requires 70% travel throughout Northern California to ensure hands‑on leadership and support at each location.
You’ll be responsible for implementing best practices, developing high‑performing teams, and ensuring exceptional patient care and client service standards across all clinics.
- Financial Performance – Optimize operations across a substantial portfolio while identifying growth opportunities and improving profitability
- Team Excellence – Develop and elevate hospital managers and their teams, creating a pipeline of talent and fostering high engagement across 11 locations
- Operational Efficiency – Streamline workflows, implement best practices, and leverage data to drive continuous improvement in patient care and client satisfaction
- Strategic Growth – Collaborate with executive leadership to identify expansion opportunities and execute regional initiatives
- Quality & Compliance – Ensure all locations maintain the highest standards of veterinary care while meeting regulatory requirements
- Talent Development Excellence – Proven ability to coach, mentor, and build high‑performing teams at scale
- Data‑Driven Leadership – Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions
- Performance Driver – Demonstrated track record of driving results with a sense of urgency and accountability
- 3+ years of multi‑location operational leadership experience managing distributed teams
- Experience overseeing operations in service‑based industries with focus on customer satisfaction
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to optimize complex workflows
- Excellent communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proven change management expertise in fast‑paced environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience in multi‑site operations
- Track record of managing P&L responsibility and achieving financial targets
- Experience leading teams of 50+ employees across multiple locations
- California residency preferred (relocation assistance available for the right candidate)
