SUMMARY:

VSECorporation is currently seeking a Project Manager to join the Maritime Services Division of Federal & Defense Services. While this position primarily offers remote working opportunities, the registered work location is at our headquarters in Alexandria, VA. The selected individual will follow a hybrid schedule, with periodic presence at the VSE Headquarters.



Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform analysis that helps us understand business and performance trends. Interpret the results and gain insight to inform stakeholders.
• Lead several strategic initiatives to grow Global/Maritime Division’s foreign military sales business.
• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close multiple projects concurrently while managing cost, schedule, and scope.
• Monitor performance of internal operations, providinganalysis and strategic insights to drive growth and performance.
• Ensure timelycorrespondence to client inquiries and questions concerning various aspects of the program.
• Identify opportunities for project and process improvement.
• Compile monthly reports and data to submitto client.
• Proactively anticipate and resolve any potential problems that may occur during contract life cycle.
• Coordinate logistics planning between our government clients and VSE vendors to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analysis, and recommendations.
• Manage duties and performance of subordinates and subcontractors.
• Write Statements of Work, Technical Evaluations, and other technical documents needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of related work experience (project support or management).
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel. May require longsperiods of travel.

Preferred Requirements (includes Preferred Education, Experience, Competencies), Etc.)

• Excellent quantitative, written, and presentation skills; innovative, organized, thorough.
• Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail with a focus on quality results.
• Four years of Foreign Military Sales Work Experience.
• Four years of U. S. Navy/Coast Guard shipboard or submarine experience.
• Naval shipyard operations experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
