. This fully remote position is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Home River Group seeks a dynamic Vice President of Accounting to lead the Property Accounting, Cash Applications and Corporate Accounting departments. The role manages approximately 25 onshore and 30 offshore team members, driving operational excellence, accuracy, and customer experience.

• Lead the property owner accounting team and mentor team members.
• Ensure complete and accurate financial statements are generated for property owners within monthly, quarterly and yearly close deadlines.
• Collaborate with business leaders and Operations to integrate new initiatives in the property management system.
• Oversee team’s asset level month‑end closing process for +20 institutional client assets, review journal entries, schedules and consolidated reports in adherence to GAAP.
• Serve as the primary contact for property owners on all accounting related matters including cash flows, owner expenses and special requests.
• Utilize accounting and property management system technologies to drive new business efficiencies and departmental solutions.
• Review opening and closing balance sheet entries for newly acquired or disposed assets to ensure accuracy of equity, debt and current assets and liabilities.
• Oversee treasury operations and cash forecasting.
• Supervise the accounting and finance department for a specified market or set of markets.
• Deliver market financial statements on‑time and accurately each month.
• Maintain the accounting calendar each month as well as handle any escalated corporate or client needs.
• Create open lines of communication with leaders of other departments to build a cooperative atmosphere across departments.
• Oversee annual financial audit.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 10+ years in accounting or finance, with at least 5+ years supervising a large team.
• 3+ years of proven leadership in property management, preferably with single family residences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and drive to provide superior customer service to all parties.
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial property management setting.
• Experience managing large offshore processing team.
• Knowledge of regulations over property management.
• Experience with Property Ware a plus.

Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 per year.
