Role:
Senior Transmission Project Manager (High Voltage)

Description:

Find Talent is proud to partner with a leading organization that provides program management services for major electric power delivery projects across North America and select global locations. We specialize in connecting highly skilled and collaborative talent with top industry leaders, focusing on driving operational excellence. We’re currently seeking a talented and experienced Program Manager to oversee and manage the delivery of program and portfolio management services for high-profile projects in the electric power sector.

This is a remote position with the requirement of up to 50% travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large-scale projects, ensuring successful achievement of both performance metrics for the client and project team.
  • Develop a well-organized, multiparty project team structure, including roles and responsibilities, ensuring smooth project delivery across various parties (owners, contractors, consultants).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and lead/participate in regular status meetings.
  • Oversee project budgets, collaborate on proposals, and establish and maintain key client relationships.
  • Develop and manage project risk strategies, including contingency planning and tracking project risks and issues via risk registers and issue logs.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and project managers, helping them achieve both professional and project goals.
  • Ensure the financial success of the program, meeting required program metrics, and managing subcontractors as necessary.
  • Establish and manage a formal change management process, guiding projects through governance reviews and other necessary milestones.
  • Track and report on key project performance indicators (KPIs), working with control specialists to ensure project status aligns with baseline goals.
  • Be accountable for the complete lifecycle of project cost and schedule management.
  • Leverage Earned Value Management (EVM) and Critical Path Method (CPM) for effective cost and schedule control.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in project and program management, specifically in the electric utility and power delivery sector.
  • Significant experience in the mobilization and execution of large-scale programs and portfolios in the utility industry.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in program strategy development, planning, and implementation for large Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects.
  • Strong track record of managing client relationships and capturing new utility projects and programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of power delivery and utility business drivers, particularly from an owner’s perspective.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities with clients and teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Salary Range: Base salary range: $140,000 – $180,000 per year. Compensation varies based on individual experience, education, and qualifications. Additional benefits include performance bonuses and comprehensive employee perks.
