Sr Project Manager, Operational Readiness; Pharma Manufacturing

Our client, an NC-based firm that provides business consulting and project management services to companies in the pharmaceutical and other life science industries, has an outstanding opportunity for a very sharp, driven and self-directed candidate to join its Client Services team in a Project Management role.

This firm is engaged by companies to lead high impact process improvement, capital project and operational excellence initiatives. Their Project Managers are embedded in client companies and, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, drive the execution of these programs.

These are high profile, critical roles. The Consultants are the face, eyes and ears of the firm. Compensation will be generous and growthpotential is enormous. Some background in pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or operations will be important.

For their initial engagement this Project Manager will work with an RTP, NC area client that is building a $2 billion pharma manufacturing facility.

• As part of the planning, this firm is leading all Operational Readiness efforts (SOPs, Quality Systems, etc.). This is an enormous undertaking.
• This Project Manager will drive the Operational Readiness plans and be instrumental in ensuring all stakeholders are properly engaged, informed and prepared to deliver results. We seek a knowledgeable and skilled point-person.
• Extensive experience with manufacturing operations (including Lean Manufacturing) will be important.
  
  Experience with a facility launch would also be valuable.

The role will involve working with leadership to build an action plan for each function.

• The action plan will include goals, timetables, resources, deliverables, assigned parties, KPIs, etc.
• The PM will be responsible for direction to and communication with all stakeholders, monitoring progress, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining timely, accurate and visible records of progress.
• It is a critical role that will require exceptional skills and a can-do, mission-driven, work style. We seek a go-getter.

This is a complex build-out and understanding of the industry will be essential. Seek candidate who brings knowledge of pharma manufacturing (cGMP, SIP, CIP, etc.), regulations and industry best practices (including KPIs).

This is a highly collaborative role. As the driver of the operational initiatives, this PM will regularly interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the initiatives are properly understood and executed. We seek a superb communicator.

This position is located in the Raleigh-Durham area. While some remote work is available, we seek candidates who are interested in being on-site where the action is.

Targeted candidate will offer a related BA/BS degree and 3+ years in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and/or Operations, including extensive work in Project Management..

Some experience in pharma (or related industry) plant will be important. Launch, start-up experience would also be valuable.

Other requirements include excellent organizational, computer and communications skills. Outstanding job ownership, collaboration, resourcefulness and mission-driven work style, equally important.
