As a Materials Program Manager at Hinge Health, you’ll play a critical role in enabling our mission by ensuring our hardware products are available, scalable and resilient as the business grows. You’ll navigate demand swings, supplier constraints, and product changes.
The Materials Manager is responsible for end-to-end materials planning and execution across Hinge Health’s hardware product portfolio. This role ensures material availability to support production, new product launches and customer fulfillment while balancing inventory, cost, and supply risk in a high-growth environment.
In joining our HW group within the broader R&D organization, you will be part of a highly capable, motivated, small team where your contributions and ideas truly matter.
What You’ll Accomplish
Own materials planning for all hardware products including kits, accessories, and consumables
Develop and manage supply plans to meet demand forecasts while maintaining optimal safety stock levels
Partner closely with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and capacity readiness
Manage inventory health across internal and external locations, including excess and obsolescence mitigation
Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes (ECO/ECN), and product transitions
Lead cross functional projects involving product changes managing it through the various stages of supply chain from suppliers, factories, 3PLs and in-market while collaborating with internal stakeholders
Monitor and resolve supply constraints, shortages, and demand volatility
Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, systems, and reporting
Collaborate cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Product, Operations, Finance, and Quality teams

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in materials planning and program management within hardware or consumer electronics
Experience managing external contract manufacturers and global suppliers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
Experience with ERP/MRP systems like Net Suite preferred
Strong experience in materials planning within hardware or consumer electronics
Proven ability to manage through high demand churn and frequent change
Clear communicator who works well across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Excel/data analytics skills (inventory modeling, safety stock calculations)
Experience in consumer electronics, medical devices, or connected hardware supply chains
Experience supporting Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and global supplier networks
Familiarity with healthcare-regulated environments
Proven track record managing materials through rapid demand growth and volatility
Experience supporting New Product Introductions (NPI) and engineering change orders (ECO/ECN)
Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g. Net Suite, SAP, Oracle)
