Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Supply & Demand to lead our end-to-end supply chain planning and execution. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of our cosmetic products from raw materials to our valued customers, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and fostering strong supplier relationships.

Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this is a hybrid role, with 3 days a week at our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury (HP22 5WJ
) and 2 days of remote working.

Salary: £90,000 - £105,000

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the supply chain team across supply chain, planning, and demand management functions.
  • Own and drive the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring strong cross-functional alignment between supply capabilities and market demand.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, value creation, and risk mitigation through robust commercial management and relationship building.
  • Oversee inventory management activities, including inbound logistics, outbound 3PL stock distribution, and stock levels across multiple warehouses, ensuring alignment with financial, sales, and marketing objectives.
  • Develop and implement systems to enable more efficient management of the demand to supply processes.
  • Optimise cash through effective management of stock days and capacity available.
  • Champion continuous improvement, process optimisation, best practices, and data-driven planning methodologies throughout the supply chain.
  • Actively support new product launches and contribute to our sustainability initiatives by ensuring supply chain readiness and adherence to ethical sourcing principles.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with other key business functions, fostering constructive partnerships that support both the supply chain and wider operational objectives.
  • Manage demand, supply, and production planning across short, medium, and long-term horizons to optimise resource allocation and responsiveness.
  • Drive inventory accuracy and enhance forecasting capabilities to consistently meet customer demand and minimise waste whilst freeing up cash.
  • Seamlessly integrate New Product Development into existing production planning and scheduling frameworks, ensuring smooth scale-up.
  • Develop and implement new systems, tools, and processes, refine inventory policies, encourage automation, and maintain ownership of MRP/ERP data integrity.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience leading an end-to-end Supply Chain function, with a particular focus on S&OP processes.
  • Ability to influence across business areas to drive end-to-end supply chain efficiencies.
  • Proven background in Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Planning, Materials Management, or Production Planning leadership roles.
  • Previous experience owning or being a key contributor to site SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) or S&OP processes.
  • Highly analytical with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring supply chain planning professionals, with a track record of supporting functions through periods of transition.
  • A process-driven individual with a strategic mindset and strong leadership qualities.
