The successful candidate will be required to speak English to an appropriate standard. This post requires a Basic Criminal Record Check. Prospective employees must provide a reasonable account of any significant period (6 months or more in the past 3 years) of time living abroad. You must be prepared to start work with all necessary legal documents, such as a valid visa.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced LGV Waste collection driver to join our Waste Management team. You will play a key role in delivering services safely, efficiently and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and health and safety.

• Operate LGV Category C vehicles to collect household waste across designated routes.
• Supervise and support a small crew, ensuring safe and effective completion of daily duties.
• Carry out physically demanding operational tasks in all weather conditions.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness and security.
• Use mechanical lifting and emptying equipment safely and efficiently.
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with the public.
• Follow agreed procedures, adapt to changing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
• Promote safe working practices and support new staff or apprentices where required.

• Full Category C LGV driver licence.
• A valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• IOSH Managing Safety qualification or willingness to undertake.
• Willingness to undertake Manual Handling, Needle Stick and IOSH Working Safely training.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical capability to undertake outdoor manual labour in all weather.
• Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
