Looking for a supply chain role that's a bit different? One where music, creativity, and commercial thinking go hand in hand?

We're seeking an experienced and energetic Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of a global supply chain operation within a fast-paced, growing SME in the musical instrument industry. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys responsibility, thrives under pressure, and wants to work in a business where music is part of everyday life.

If you're passionate about music - and especially if you play guitar - you'll feel right at home.

The Role

Working closely with the Finance Director, you'll lead and develop all aspects of the supply chain, from Far East manufacturing partners through to global distribution, UK 3PL operations, and Direct-to‑Consumer fulfilment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing finished‑goods suppliers in the Far East, driving performance on cost, quality, and delivery
  • Developing strong supplier relationships and identifying new sourcing opportunities
  • Leading and negotiating contracts with international 3PL logistics providers
  • Managing global freight and logistics into multiple markets
  • Developing UK last‑mile and Direct‑to‑Consumer distribution solutions
  • Inventory control, demand planning, and forecasting across multiple locations
  • Identifying and mitigating supply chain risk
  • Leading and developing a small supply chain and logistics team
  • Driving continuous improvement using data, systems, and insight
About You
  • Passionate about music and excited to work in the musical instrument sector
  • Playing guitar or another instrument is a strong advantage
  • Experienced in managing global B2B supply chains and export distribution
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and manufacturing in the Far East
  • Confident managing outsourced 3PL providers
  • Commercially minded, organised, and detail‑focused
  • Comfortable working with numbers, margins, and forecasts
  • Clear communicator with a proactive, can‑do attitude
  • Qualifications and professional certifications are welcome but not essential.

  • Competitive salary
  • Commission and bonus scheme
  • Workplace pension
  • 25 days holiday plus additional days with service
