Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Portland law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to support attorneys on complex civil and commercial litigation matters. The firm is looking for a proactive, resourceful professional who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Support attorneys through all phases of complex civil and commercial litigation
- Draft, organize, and manage discovery requests and responses
- Review, code, and manage large volumes of documents, including privilege review, using litigation support tools and databases
- Conduct factual and legal research as needed
- Proofread, format, and cite-check briefs and legal filings
- Assist with deposition, hearing, and trial preparation, including logistics and exhibit management
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams to meet deadlines and maintain organized case files
- 5–7+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with 7+ years preferred for candidates with experience in complex litigation
- Strong experience with document review, document coding, and privilege review
- Proficiency with litigation databases, e-discovery platforms, and related technologies
- In-depth knowledge of the discovery process, including document review and production
- Proven ability to proofread and cite-check legal documents with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and driven, with the ability to take initiative
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
