The Law Office of Salesia Smith-Gordon, a distinguished and respected solo practitioner personal injury litigation law firm in downtown West Palm Beach, is seeking an experienced investigator - bodily injury claims professional to join the firm’s in-house team. This in-office non-remote position requires:
- Claims investigation, including scene visit, witness interviews, communication with clients, law enforcement, insurance representatives and medical personnel.
- Fact assembly to determine policy coverage, analyze legal liability, and damage evaluation.
- Knowledge of insurance coverage and policies.
- Communications with clients and medical entities.
- Data entry in firm’s client management system.
- Ensure medical documentation is received and reviewed
- Reading and proof reading with edit recommendations.
- Solid familiarity of medical terminology.
- Write demands and work towards claim resolution.
- Ensure claims payments are timely received.
- Negotiation of claims for case resolution.

Hours:
8:30-5:30 M-F preferably 40hr/wk. (can be flexible on hours & time)
Location:
922 – 2nd Street West Palm Beach, FL (downtown)

Wages / Salary: $65,000+ commensurate with experience
Responsibilities- Effectively manage an inventory of Bodily Injury claims by keeping abreast of any/all changes /documentation from initial evaluation to final disposition.
- Consistently communicate with claimants, litigation paralegal, attorney, insureds, medical professionals, or witnesses, to compile information regarding accidents and resulting claim information.
- Unfailingly maintain monthly client claim case reviews
- Persistently return all phone calls/contact inquiries to maintain high levels of customer service.
- Proficient typing and computer skills. Effective knowledge and use of MS Office
- Compassionate customer service skills
- Efficient, effective task and goal-oriented skills
- Vehicle for transportation
- Minimum of 3-years Bodily Injury claims law office or claims adjusting experience
- Full understanding of Bodily Injury claims investigations and claims processing.
- Knowledge of mechanics of Bodily Injury, medical terminology, and settlement negotiations.
