What would you do as a Estate Planning/Trust Administration Paralegal- Draft estate planning documents such as wills and trusts.
- Conduct legal research.
- Assist in the administration of trusts.
- Collaborate with clients to gather information and respond to inquiries, ensuring a customer-centric experience.
Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, working approximately 40 hours a month, which provides you with a structured yet flexible work environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend team meetings, participate in training sessions, and contribute to ongoing projects that promote your growth in the legal field. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn and contribute while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Wouldyou be a great Estate Planning/Trust Administration Paralegal?
- Solid foundation in estate planning and trust administration.
- Familiarity with managing a handful of cases valued under $5 million and overseeing them with attorney guidance.
- Adept at understanding next steps, tracking deadlines, and identifying potential issues that may require attorney intervention.
- Proficiency in research, especially regarding California’s trust administration requirements and tasks such as applying for Tax IDs for foreign beneficiaries.
- Experience using software like Wealth Counsel and Wealth Tracks is preferred.
- Familiarity with probate procedures, including filing petitions and conducting inventories, is beneficial (litigation experience not required).
- Estate planning skills related to trusts and contributing to the development of system templates to improve process efficiency.
- Flexible hours with potential occasional phone communication with clients or attorneys.
