We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Appeals and Billing Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our billing and appeals process, with a specific focus on compliance with client billing requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

• Reviewing and rewriting attorney time entries to ensure they are accurate, detailed, and compliant with client requirements.
• Ensuring all language used in billing and appeals meets client rules and standards.
• Preventing appeals or billing rejections by thoroughly checking all documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Working closely with attorneys and other team members to resolve any issues related to billing and appeals.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in client billing requirements and legal regulations.
• Assisting with the preparation of reports and other documents related to billing and appeals.
• Providing advice and guidance to attorneys and other team members on billing and appeals procedures.

• A bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field is preferred but not required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with a focus on billing and appeals
• Proficiency in legal research and a deep understanding of legal terminology and procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in documents
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legal information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professional ethics
