One has partnered with our client, a Metro Detroit firm, on their need for a Senior Tax Attorney/Counsel. The right candidate for this role would possess a strong business and legal background related to Taxation matters. This a permanent/direct hire opportunity offering a competitive compensation package and benefits.

• Counsel clients on state and local taxes matters including income, capital gains, sales and use, and real estate taxes.
• Draft documents related to and advise on matters such as: choice of entity, tax matters associated with M&A and capital market transactions, and business start-ups.
• Possess prior experience with international taxation matters is helpful.

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school; LL.M. in Taxation is helpful but not required.
• CPA license is preferred.
• Licensed (and in good standing) with the State of Michigan.
• 10+ years’ related experience, providing counsel in all areas of Tax law.
