Are you a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEx looking for a high-impact legal role at the heart of the UK property market?
HM Land Registry (HMLR) is undergoing a major digital transformation to become the world's leading land registry. We are seeking four legally qualified professionals (two in Coventry, two in Leicester) to join our Service Delivery Group. As an Assistant Land Registrar, you will provide the critical legal expertise that underpins land ownership in England and Wales.
Responsibilities- Expert Decision Making:
Resolve highly complex and sensitive legal cases involving land ownership, rights, and indemnity. - Legal Advisory:
Act as a technical authority, guiding disputed applications and intricate property law matters. - Leadership &
Coaching:
Act as a corporate leader within the office, mentoring junior colleagues and promoting HMLR's mission and values. - Caseload Management:
Oversee a varied portfolio of work within a national team of lawyers across 14 regional offices. - Qualification:
You must be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales, or a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx) at the time of application. - Experience:
Proven legal professional skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement and manage risk effectively. - Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for coaching and influencing others. - Commitment:
Ability to work from your chosen office (Coventry or Leicester) at least 60% of the time. - Note:
We cannot accept applications from Licensed Conveyancers unless they are also qualified as a Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEx.
