Partner - Wills, Trusts and Tax – Shrewsbury
Aaron & Partners LLP is seeking a senior private client lawyer to take a leading role within its Wills, Trusts and Tax offering in Shrewsbury. This is a senior appointment offering autonomy, strong internal support and the opportunity to further develop an established private client practice within a growing regional firm.
About the FirmAaron & Partners is a well-established Legal 500 regional law firm with a strong reputation for private client work and long-standing professional relationships across the region. The firm continues to invest in its private client services, with the Wills, Trusts and Tax team led by James Wallace and supported by an experienced and collaborative group across Shrewsbury and Chester.
Role Overview- Take a senior role within the Wills, Trusts and Tax practice in the Shrewsbury office
- Develop and strengthen the firm’s private client offering locally, with backing from the wider team led by James Wallace
- Build and maintain relationships with IFAs, accountants and other professional referrers in Shrewsbury and the wider Shropshire area
- Act as a senior point of contact for private client matters locally
- Provide leadership, supervision and technical support to junior lawyers
- Work closely with colleagues across the firm on wider private client matters and strategy
The role involves a high-quality private client caseload, including:
- Wills and estate planning for HNW individuals
- Inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning
- Agricultural and business property relief
- Trusts and succession planning
- Ongoing instructions generated through professional referrers
This role is likely to suit either:
- An existing Private Client Partner seeking a senior, visible role with autonomy; or

You will have:
- Strong technical experience across wills, trusts and tax

This is a predominantly office-based role in Shrewsbury. Regular presence in the office is important due to the client base and the senior nature of the position. Some flexibility is available, including limited home working and pragmatic support around childcare where appropriate.
Candidates should be within a realistic commuting distance of Shrewsbury or genuinely motivated to relocate locally.
RemunerationAaron & Partners offers a competitive package within the regional market. For the right individual, the firm is open to flexibility on structure and remuneration, including equity participation at partner level.
