Overview

LAW CLERK Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 2L or 3L law student to join our Sexual Assault Team as a Law Clerk. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a law student to gain practical experience in civil litigation, with a focus on case preparation, legal research, and drafting pleadings. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute 20+ hours per week in a hybrid work environment.

The position is open to continuing through the remainder of law school, providing consistent exposure to meaningful legal work and mentorship from experienced attorneys.

Salary and Benefits

$27.00 per hour. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in drafting civil complaints, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
  • Conducting research on statutes, case law, and legal precedents relevant to complex sexual assault cases.
  • Supporting attorneys in organizing and analyzing case files, evidence, and client records.
  • Preparing summaries, exhibits, and other materials for use in pleadings, depositions, or trial.
  • Working closely with attorneys and other team members to ensure efficient case preparation and progress.
  • Assisting with file management, document organization, and other tasks necessary to advance cases.
Qualifications
  • Current enrollment as a 2L or 3L law student at an accredited law school.
  • Prior experience with legal drafting through coursework, legal clinics, internships, or similar roles.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to analyze and summarize legal issues clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week in a hybrid environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in civil litigation and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault preferred.
