• California bar license in good standing
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• Minimum 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience (preferred areas:
  General Liability, Mass Tort, Toxic Tort, Construction Defect, Labor and Employment, and/or insurance defense)
• Experience managing up to 20 cases, taking/defending depositions, court appearances, motions, and discovery drafting; mediation and trial experience a plus; mentoring junior associates a plus
• Computer skills: basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and internet software;
  Microsoft products preferred
• Strong self-motivation, ability to work independently, and strong client communication skills
• Oral and Written communication ability; clear, persuasive speaking; clear writing with proper spelling/grammar
• Ability to work with little supervision; prioritize tasks; handle occasional pressure and deadlines
• Ethics: maintain confidentiality of client and firm information

• Draft, review, and respond to petitions/complaints, motions, and written discovery
• Attend hearings and meetings with clients as requested
• Prepare for and attend depositions
• Assist with mediation and trial preparation/participation
• Willingness to bill clients as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• One-on-one mentorship and training by Partners
• Salary range $130k-$250k, depending on experience
• Quarterly bonuses based on billable hours
