Remote in TN (must currently reside in TN and have recent TN e-filing experience)
Regular full-time schedule within standard business hours (some flextime permitted)
Join a small, but busy and collaborative defense team supporting multiple attorneys on long-term care and related healthcare liability matters. You’ll handle end-to-end litigation support, run point on discovery and docket control, and keep cases moving in a fully remote environment. Limited travel may arise for trial.
Key Responsibilities- Manage discovery workflows: records retrieval, production tracking, privilege review support, and evidence organization
- Draft, revise, and organize litigation documents (pleadings, written discovery, discovery responses, and exhibit lists)
- Own docketing and deadline control; maintain comprehensive case files and matter chronologies
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and vendors to gather records and prepare materials
- Perform Tennessee e-filing for state courts and assist with routine administrative needs in a lean team setting (this role does not have minimum billable hour requirements)
- Provide trial support as needed (exhibit management, logistics, live notes)
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent, tenured civil litigation paralegal experience in TN focused primarily on defending long‑term care/nursing home claims from inception through litigation to trial (Medical malpractice defense in healthcare professional liability and nursing home abuse/neglect defense will also be considered.)
- Direct, hands‑on experience e‑filing in Tennessee courts
- Demonstrated history of billing your own substantive paralegal time in prior roles
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills; thrives working independently in a remote setup with reliable high‑speed internet and a dedicated workspace
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, One Drive, and Share Point
- Comfort with case management/docketing tools and electronic document management
- eDiscovery platform exposure is a plus (e.g., Relativity, Logikcull, Everlaw)
- $55,000 - $75,000 annually DOE
