Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Columbus, GA. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative and clerical support to the legal team, which includes managing schedules, preparing and editing legal documents, maintaining files, and coordinating communication with clients and court officials. You will also assist in document drafting, filing, and organizing case files, as well as conducting basic legal research as needed.

Some work-from-home flexibility is available for this role.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks such as document management, scheduling, and correspondence
  • Familiarity with legal research and drafting of legal documents
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, court filings, and legal processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software tools
  • Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role preferred
  • Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Certification, or a related field is a plus
