- Providing comprehensive secretarial support to the legal team, including preparing and editing legal documents and correspondence, maintaining attorney calendars, coordinating meetings, and managing client files.
- Conducting legal research and preparing reports as required.
- Liaising with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals in a professional and courteous manner.
- Managing the billing process, including preparing invoices, tracking payments, and resolving any billing issues.
- Ensuring the confidentiality of all sensitive information and adhering to all legal and company policies and procedures.
- Assisting with the preparation of court filings and managing the e‑filing process.
- Supporting the team with administrative tasks as needed, such as answering phones, managing mail, and maintaining office supplies.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and legal software applications.
- A thorough understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document formats.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, as well as clients and external contacts.
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A high degree of professionalism and discretion, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- A degree or certification in legal studies or a related field is preferred.
