Overview
Long-Term Contract (Temp-to-Perm Potential)
Our client, a law firm in the Denver metropolitan area, is seeking an attorney to handle debt settlement litigation from inception through resolution.
What You’ll Do- Handle all aspects of debt collection litigation, including pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Draft and file lawsuits, judgments, garnishments, liens, and post-judgment remedies
- Appear in court for hearings, assist at trials and mediations
- Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements
- Ensure compliance with FDCPA, state collection laws, and court rules
- Communicate effectively with clients, debtors, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in case management system
- Active bar admission in Colorado
- At least 1 year of experience with debt settlement litigation
- Ability to work proficiently with case management software and keep all files up to date
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: At least 6 months
Location: Denver, Colorado - work from home but attend court hearings and meetings as needed
Pay Rate: $70-75 per hour
