We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Practice Support Services, this position will work directly with licensed attorneys and assist case teams throughout all phases of bankruptcy.

- Prepare, review, and file bankruptcy pleadings, motions, schedules, statements, and related documents in federal bankruptcy courts.
- Support debtor and creditor representations across Chapter 7, Chapter 11 (including Subchapter V), and Chapter 13 matters.
- Assist with Subchapter V Chapter 11 cases, including preparation and filing of status reports, plan-related documents, and management of expedited deadlines.
- Monitor bankruptcy court dockets, deadlines, and hearing dates; coordinate with the firm’s docketing department as appropriate.
- Draft notices, correspondence, and routine pleadings under attorney supervision.
- Manage service of process and coordinate noticing to creditors, trustees, and other interested parties.
- Assist with fee applications, including compiling time entries, preparing exhibits, coordinating attorney review, filing applications, and tracking objections and approvals.
- Assist with claims administration, including preparation, review, and analysis of proofs of claim and claims objections.
- Support discovery, document production, and preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files in compliance with firm procedures.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, trustees, and opposing counsel regarding filings, deadlines, and procedural requirements.
- Must possess a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest of confidence. Required to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Must have strong technical skills including Adobe and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
- Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in fluent English; ability to compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling; ability to communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction over the telephone.
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills; ability to balance multiple projects, work independently and have strong time management skills, as well as prioritize workload.
- Ability to process routine daily functions while being able to resolve sensitive issues and complex assignments utilizing above-average critical thinking skills.
- Must be proactive communicating issues relating to assignment expectations and the ability to meet deadlines or expectations.
- Ability to travel, as necessary.
- Associate’s Degree (or higher) or a Paralegal Certification required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
