Lead Legal Counsel - REMOTE

Accountabilities

Provide legal guidance on sales-side commercial transactions
Draft, negotiate, and review complex agreements
Collaborate with product and engineering teams for product counseling
Mitigate and manage risk associated with legal agreements
Improve and update operational processes within the legal department
Engage in cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders
Assist in establishing best practices for complex data in-licenses

Requirements

7+ years of practicing attorney experience
2+ years at a top-tier law firm
5+ years in-house at a technology company

Experience with sales-side commercial transactions
Technical background in computer science or engineering preferred
Extensive experience in sales negotiations and complex deals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer-centric orientation with practical negotiation skills
Active membership in at least one US state bar
