This is a full‑time position with attorneys typically working four days per week, primarily serving clients in the mid‑peninsula region of the Bay Area, and working out of our offices in Palo Alto, San Mateo, and Fremont (and others as needed). The role also requires travel to our remote offices in San Diego and Los Angeles approximately once every month or every other month.
To make estate planning more widely available, this position may include some Saturday and evening appointments to accommodate client needs. Outside of scheduled client appointments, attorneys are not expected to respond to email or work during their off‑hours—your personal time is your own.
What You’ll Do- Advise clients and oversee signing and notarization of estate plans.
- Review and edit drafts, respond to client emails, and conduct legal research.
- Partner with a notary/administrative teammate to ensure seamless client service.
- Travel as needed (including occasional trips to Los Angeles and Sacramento); mix of remote and in‑person work.
- Collaborate with our development team on technology improvements to continually enhance client experience.
- Grow into independent client management with full team support available.
- Empathy and communication skills
: ability to connect warmly with a wide variety of clients. - Efficiency and organization
: motivated to meet goals without billable hour tracking. - 2 years as an attorney required; estate planning or trust administration experience a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to become a notary.
- Proficiency in a second language strongly preferred.
