Company Description

Braam Partners Law Firm is a fast-growing, litigation-driven practice headquartered in Doral, Florida, with an expanding docket across personal injury litigation, business litigation, commercial litigation, and general civil litigation. The Firm is known for its strategic, efficient approach to handling complex disputes, high-quality written advocacy, and commitment to strong client communication. We represent individuals and businesses in cases ranging from negligence and insurance disputes to partnership conflicts, contract breaches, business torts, and multi-party commercial matters.

Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Doral, FL, with some remote-work flexibility. The Litigation Associate will actively manage cases in personal injury, business litigation, commercial litigation, and civil litigation, participating in all phases of litigation—from pre-suit investigation through pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.

The Associate will also take an active role in pre-litigation case evaluation and settlement negotiations, including drafting demand packages, analyzing liability and damages, engaging with opposing counsel or insurance adjusters, and formulating negotiation strategies consistent with Florida law and firm-wide standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle litigation matters across personal injury, business litigation, commercial litigation, and general civil disputes from pre-suit through trial.
  • Conduct pre-litigation assessments and settlement negotiations, including drafting demand letters, preparing damages summaries, and communicating with opposing counsel and insurers.
  • Draft, file, and argue motions, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, motions to dismiss, and evidentiary motions.
  • Participate in and conduct depositions of parties, corporate representatives, experts, and third-party witnesses.
  • Develop litigation strategies in partnership disputes, breach-of-contract cases, tortious interference claims, fraud claims, UCC matters, and other business litigation contexts.
  • Manage written discovery, document production, witness preparation, and compliance with Florida procedural rules.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality memoranda and briefs concerning liability, damages, commercial statutes, and procedural issues in Florida state and federal courts.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, inspections, settlement conferences, and trial proceedings as assigned.
  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients, experts, and opposing counsel while documenting case activity in accordance with firm protocols.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience in Florida (required).
  • Prior experience handling personal injury matters, including pre-suit negotiation, discovery, motion practice, and familiarity with medical records and damages evaluation (strongly preferred).
  • Active license in good standing with The Florida Bar (required).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, discovery rules, and motion practice.
  • Strong drafting ability — including motions, pleadings, briefs, and settlement demands.
  • Experience conducting or defending depositions preferred.
  • Strong analytical, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Professionalism, reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent client service.
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus.
