Part-Time Remote Attorney (North Dakota Barred)

About the RoleWe are seeking a part-time, remotely based Attorney licensed in the state of North Dakota to support our municipal and public-sector clients. The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to government or municipal operations, and is adept at reviewing a broad spectrum of vendor and services agreements to identify risk, issue-spot, and provide redlined revisions.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze a variety of vendor, services, technology, and procurement-related agreements
- Issue-spot legal, operational, and compliance risks and provide practical recommendations
- Redline contracts to align with client standards, policies, and risk tolerances
- Communicate findings clearly and concisely to internal teams or client stakeholders
- Collaborate with government or municipal entities as needed
- Manage workload independently and meet recurring turnaround timelines
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in North Dakota (required)
- 3–5 years of relevant legal experience
- Experience working with or for a government entity, municipality, or public-sector agency (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience reviewing commercial vendor contracts (technology, professional services, procurement, etc.)
- Strong issue-spotting, drafting, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
- Approximately 10+ hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling
- Remote/contract engagement (part-time)
