Corporate Counsel; Hybrid - Franklin, TN

Overview

Calling all Nashville-area litigators looking for the opportunity to move to an in-house role. Latitude is assisting a consumer-focused company with a culture of excellence, seeking to add Corporate Counsel to its lean legal department. This is an ideal role for a litigation attorney to move in-house and grow their in-house generalist skillset. The position is hybrid, with four days/night in-office in the Cool Springs/Franklin office and the option to work from home on Fridays.

• Conduct research and advise on a wide variety of legal issues
• Review outside counsel bills and assist with litigation management
• Draft and revise commercial contracts
• Provide day-to-day counsel to the HR Department
• Draft and advise on employment and corporate policies
• Provide sage advice to partners within the organization

• 8+ years of experience practicing law; including 5+ years of litigation experience
• High emotional intelligence and excellent analytical, research, and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (a writing sample is required)
• Experience with negotiation and conflict resolution
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Technologically proficient with MS Office and Google programs
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee (or eligible for in-house exemption)
• Outstanding professional references

Pay:
The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $150,000 with bonus potential. Pay is based on factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
