Overview
California Employment Litigation Attorney (Remote). Latitude is seeking an experienced employment litigation attorney for a long-term contract engagement with a California-based boutique law firm. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who thrive in a collaborative, innovative environment and are looking to escape the demanding billable hour requirements of traditional law firms.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience litigating California labor and employment (L&E) issues. Responsibilities will include providing labor & employment litigation defense (single plaintiff) to clients.
Preferred candidates will have prior experience in the labor and employment practice group of a large law firm, a highly regarded employment law boutique, or a major corporate legal department. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to client success while maintaining work-life balance.
Responsibilities- Provide labor & employment litigation defense (single plaintiff) to clients.
- 3+ years of experience practicing employment law and employment litigation
- Prior experience providing labor & employment litigation defense (single plaintiff)
- Dedication to responsiveness and walking clients through time-sensitive L&E issues is important
- Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Licensed to practice law in California
- Outstanding professional references

Pay:
The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.
Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits:
In addition to pay, all Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
