• Provide accurate legal guidance and recommendations on all matters affecting the company
• Support the company through Trust & Safety incident responses
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of education regulations and provide recommendations on necessary actions
• Create, implement, and maintain compliance policies to mitigate regulatory risk
• Negotiate, create, review, and execute agreements and contracts essential for business operations

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and Bar Admission in good standing
• 7+ years of legal experience in an edtech corporate environment
• Executive presence with the ability to represent the company internally and externally
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

• Experience in navigating litigation associated with general liability risk
• Familiarity with Domestic and International privacy regulations, including GDPR
• Proven track record of creating and implementing compliance policies in a corporate setting
