• Lead and develop a team of attorneys and legal professionals within the Product & Regulatory Legal Team
• Provide strategic legal counsel on product development and marketing for various loan products
• Conduct legal research and analysis on consumer finance laws and develop compliant frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design customer-friendly financial products
• Advise on disputes escalated from the Compliance team, identifying key legal risks

• J.D. degree with superior academic credentials and state bar membership
• At least 10+ years of experience in a law firm, government, in-house legal department, or fintech/startup, with 5 years focused on marketing and consumer loan origination
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state consumer lending and consumer protection laws
• Experience with marketing and bank partnership programs, personal loans, and small dollar lending
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide concise legal advice

• Experience using AI in providing legal advice and developing efficiencies
• Knowledge of loan servicing, debt collection, and data privacy/security
• Vendor management and contract negotiation experience
• State licensing and exam experience
