The Firm

We are working with a leading, award-winning UK law firm, recognised nationally for its expertise, client care and consistent presence at the top of its specialist practice areas. Based in modern offices in Manchester’s Spinningfields, the firm is known for its collaborative culture, high-quality work and commitment to developing legal talent at all levels.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and well-established Clinical Negligence team, working on meaningful, high-value matters within a supportive and professional environment.

The Opportunity

The Clinical Negligence department is looking to recruit two Paralegals following internal progression within the team due to trainee qualification and seat rotations.

These roles offer hands-on exposure to complex clinical negligence matters and the chance to work closely with experienced solicitors on a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload.

The Role

You will support fee earners across the full lifecycle of clinical negligence claims, including:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of clinical negligence files
  • Legal research and drafting correspondence and documents
  • Reviewing medical records and supporting case preparation
  • Liaising with clients and third parties where required
  • Maintaining accurate records and case management systems
  • Supporting the wider team to ensure high standards of client service
About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A solid understanding of clinical negligence law and practice
  • Previous experience in a clinical negligence paralegal role, or exposure to clinical negligence during legal studies
  • A strong academic background (candidates should note any clinical negligence modules completed in their application)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and clear, well-presented written work
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work well under pressure
  • A collaborative mindset and strong team ethic
Working Arrangements

These are full-time roles. Paralegals will be office-based during the initial probationary period to support training and integration into the team, with the option to work from home up to three days per week thereafter.
