Work location: Fully remote (with occasional in-person client meetings / appearances as needed)

Location for in-person needs: Primarily Southern California / Los Angeles area (as needed)
Bar: California (Active, in good standing)
The OpportunityWe’re hiring an attorney to take over a busy, diverse practice supporting clients across litigation and transactional matters. This role is ideal for a self-directed attorney who can manage cases end-to-end, communicate proactively with clients, and switch comfortably between disputes and deal work.
You will work on matters that may include corporate law, employment counseling and defense, and commercial disputes
, as well as business/IP matters and real estate transactions
.
- Manage matters in state and federal courts
, balancing strategic resolution with strong advocacy. - Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement communications.
- Conduct/defend depositions and prepare for mediations/arbitrations.
- Handle disputes such as:
- Business and contract litigation
, shareholder/partner disputes, employment and IP litigation, and real estate conflicts.
- Business and contract litigation
- Provide clear, practical risk assessments and keep clients informed on strategy, timelines, and budgets.
- Support businesses from formation through growth, including:
- Entity formation
, governance/compliance, contract negotiation, and (as applicable) M&A or strategic partnerships.
- Entity formation
- Advise employers on counseling and compliance, including:
- Handbooks/policies, wage & hour compliance, classification issues, and related risk management.
- Draft/review/negotiate agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, employment/contractor agreements, licensing deals, and other commercial contracts.
- Assist with real estate transactions (PSAs, leases, title/escrow support, portfolio/audit support).
- Coordinate IP-related needs such as licensing and IP diligence in transactions (as applicable).
- Collaborate closely with the Managing Partner and team to deliver high-quality work product.
- Help improve templates, processes, and client-facing communication for a modern remote practice.
- Optional: contribute to thought leadership (e.g., CLEs/podcasts/educational content), if interested.
- [Recommended: 6+ years] of practice experience spanning both litigation and transactional work (or equivalent hybrid experience).
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Independently manage deadlines, client communications, and competing priorities
- Draft strong briefs and agreements with minimal supervision
- Use sound judgment in risk-based counseling
- Comfortable working in a remote, team-focused environment with modern collaboration tools.
- Employment counseling/defense, commercial disputes, and/or ongoing outside general counsel work.
- Industry familiarity with any of: tech, entertainment, real estate, cannabis, finance, retail.
- This role is fully remote day‑to‑day.
- Candidate must be willing and able to attend occasional in‑person

Compensation: $,000.00 base salary (DOE) + performance bonus opportunities
