- Provide comprehensive legal advice and support on a wide range of construction and real estate law matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate and construction projects.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis of laws, regulations, and court decisions.
- Advise clients regarding ongoing litigation or to explain legal rights, obligations, and legal issues.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- Coordinate with a team of legal professionals and paralegals for case preparation.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and legal changes that may impact the company's business.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior attorneys or partners.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 3+ years of law practice experience, specifically in construction law and real estate law.
- Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
- Proven background in drafting, negotiating and reviewing legal documents.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to develop legal strategies and arguments.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes in a manner that minimizes potential legal risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
