Associate Lawyer - Corporate Commercial and Commercial Real Estate

Our client is one of the largest business law firms in the world and one of the most recognized law firm brands globally. Our client is now actively seeking a skilled mid to senior‑level associate with 4–8 years of experience in Corporate Commercial and Commercial Real Estate law. This role involves engaging in complex and interesting work for a diverse range of sophisticated clients, including public companies, developers, investors, commercial landlords and tenants, as well as privately held companies. In this position, you will take a lead role on various matters, collaborating closely with their Real Estate and Corporate Partners and Associates.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on a variety of commercial real estate matters, including leases for both landlords and tenants, purchase and sale of commercial properties, and land development issues.
Provide guidance on corporate structuring and governance, draft commercial agreements, and support tax reorganizations.
Handle a diverse range of commercial transactions, ensuring high‑quality service and client satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with Real Estate and Corporate Partners and Associates on complex matters.
Engage with a sophisticated client base, including public companies, developers, investors, commercial landlords and tenants, and privately held companies.
Qualifications
4–8 years of experience in Corporate Commercial and Commercial Real Estate law from a national, international, or highly regarded law firm and/or in‑house role is highly desirable.
Experience in managing commercial real‑estate transactions.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, project management and the ability to handle multiple time‑sensitive priorities.
Self‑starter with the ability to thrive in a collegial environment.
Knowledge of banking and secured lending is considered an asset.
Qualified to practice law in Canada.
