Senior Attorney - (San Francisco, CA | Hybrid or Remote)

A nationally recognized defense litigation firm is seeking an experienced Senior Attorney to join its Premises Security and General Liability practice in San Francisco.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, collegial team handling complex defense matters on a national scale. The firm values teamwork, client service, innovation, and long-term professional growth. This position offers a flexible, hybrid or remote working arrangement.

Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Appear at court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, while collaborating with a broader team.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide regular case status updates.
• Work closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups to support litigation strategy and client needs.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• 8+ years of experience in insurance defense, premises liability, catastrophic loss, or general liability litigation.
• Trial experience and dispositive motion practice experience required.
• Strong analytical, written, and oral advocacy skills.
• Legal project management experience is a plus.
