Overview
Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig seeks a Litigation Associate to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have excellent writing and research abilities and be passionate about helping individuals and businesses. Ability to act as local counsel in the state and federal courts is a strong plus.
This position can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office options available in Richmond, Leesburg, or Vienna, Virginia, or Chicago, Illinois.

Required Qualifications- Bar member states preferred: IL, DE, MD, DC, or VA bar.
- Minimum of two (2) years litigation experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- The ideal candidate should have excellent legal writing skills and be comfortable taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, arguing motions, drafting pleadings, and managing deadlines, and would be familiar with the local practices of the state and federal courts.
- Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and documents.
- Appear at hearings and trial in both state and federal courts
- Take and defend depositions.
- Supervise and conduct complex legal research and analysis.
- Collaborate in case strategy discussions.
- Communicate and work with local counsel.
- Contract reviews and redlines.
- Draft and review purchase agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and other transactional documents.
- Perform day-to-day case management and maintain client files.

- Salary range: $100K-160K varying by experience.
